Well it was a busy Tuesday morning. After a major clean up in the main greenhouse we are now ready for sales again. It was just a case of sorting and moving the plants back to their proper places. We really gutted the place this year and it does look nice and clean. It's also difficult to believe how much space there is in now. It was hard work but well worth it.
Well a little news on the secret garden. You may or may not know this but last year I made two Chamomile seats out of former plant beds. One was, and still is, very successful. It was in full sun though. The other is slightly shady and hasn't done very well. I had considered restocking it this year but I had another idea. Having got some advice from the
Real Gardeners forum I'm now going to replant it with
Corsican Mint. It's a herb which grows up to 3 cm and likes to be in more shady conditions than Chamomile. So I'm going to give it go, see what happens.
As well as looking after the seats we hope to start work on the
Secret Garden soon. We're currently looking for designs for the mosaics which will cover the walls. It's all very exciting!
Have a good week!
