New Start For 2007

Well, it's been a quiet start to 2007 on our first day back at Growing Matters.  The college at which we are based has not yet reopened so things are a little dead at the moment, it's great to have such a choice of so many parking spaces!

There wasn't much to do today, bit a of a quiet one.  Mostly cleaning up from Christmas, taking the decorations down and preparing for the new year.  Things should start up again properly as our members start to return from their break.

New Developments

Progress is finally being made on the Secret Garden project!  We've be looking at builders merchants for the amount of bricks we will need.  It could be in excess of a thousand just for two of the inner beds and a new seating area.

Our members and volunteers have been showing interest in doing mosaic designs for the walls and surface treatments.  We've already had a few ideas including a seaside theme for part of it.  Keep an on the website for more news on that.
